When are contributions transferred from my bank account?

To keep transfers reliable, IntelligentInvesting processes contributions once a week, on Mondays. This schedule is fixed and can’t be changed at this time.

All of your recurring contributions and boosts are combined into a single weekly transfer. While contributions are initiated on Mondays, it may take a few days for the funds to be withdrawn from your bank account and appear in your investment account.

What to expect

  • Contributions are initiated on Mondays

  • Your bank account is typically debited between Tuesday and Thursday, depending on your financial institution

  • Your investment account balance is usually updated by Friday

By batching transfers this way, money is withdrawn from your bank account only 4 to 6 times per month, depending on how many Mondays are in the month.

Why we use a fixed schedule

  • Fewer bank fees: Many Canadian banks limit monthly transactions and charge per transaction beyond that limit. Weekly batching helps keep costs down.

  • Reliability: Processing transfers on a consistent schedule reduces delays and errors and keeps systems in sync.

Fees

Our fee is $20 per month, plus applicable provincial taxes.

This fee appears as a separate transaction on your bank statement and is not combined with your investment contributions.
