Your IntelligentInvesting account is invested in mutual funds that are specifically set up for IntelligentInvesting clients. While the IntelligentInvesting account itself is not directly CIPF insured, all client funds are held in trust at a custodian that does provide CIPF coverage.
This means you receive the same level of protection as investors in any Canadian mutual fund.
The custodian for IntelligentInvesting funds is CI Investments Services Inc., and our trustee is TMX Trust, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Toronto Stock Exchange Group. We are also audited annually by an international accounting firm.
